Winsearch is proud to partner with an established specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor looking to appoint a QA Manager.
This is a genuine development opportunity. The client is open to either an experienced roofing, cladding or façade installer looking to move into quality management, or a recent construction graduate interested in building a specialist career in quality assurance.
You don't necessarily need to have been a QA Manager before. Practical understanding, attention to detail and the confidence to maintain quality standards across live projects will be more important than your current job title.
The Role
Based from the Cumbernauld office, you'll split your time between office-based quality coordination and inspections across roofing, cladding, rainscreen and remediation projects.
You'll check that works are being completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and manufacturers' requirements. You'll also maintain the photographic and written evidence needed to demonstrate that installations have been completed correctly.
This is not a purely administrative position. You'll need to be comfortable on active construction sites, speaking with experienced installers and identifying issues before work is covered up or reaches final inspection.

About You
You'll be observant, practical and comfortable taking responsibility for the standard of work being delivered.
You should be confident enough to challenge incorrect or poor-quality installation, but able to do so constructively and maintain a good relationship with site teams.
The right person will understand that quality assurance is not simply about finding faults at the end of a project. The aim is to identify potential issues early, help teams get the installation right first time and maintain the evidence needed for inspection, handover and compliance.
