Bilfinger require a QA Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis on Stanlow.

The QA/QC Technician (Mechanical) will be responsible for;

Preparation of QA Documentation in Accordance with Agreed Site Requirements.

Manage & Execute Required Checks on Completed Flange Joints made by B.U.K. & Sub-Contractors.

Complete QA Documentation to Ensure 100% Traceability of Completed Flange Joints for Handover to Client T/A Quality Engineer.

Liaise with mechanical coordinator/Site Supervisor/ESSAR QA/ Inspection contractor P.U. Assurance Engineer to Resolve QA Related Issues in an Efficient & Timely Manner

Ensure QA Boards Reflect the QA Status of each Completed Task to Allow Safe & Efficient Handback to ESSAR Operations.

Compile all Completed Documentation in Preparation for Archiving.

Key Activities: What should the role holder do to achieve the business goals of

The maintenance QA Technicians duties are critical to the successful delivery of the day-to-day mechanical works carried out. . The duties performed during the will contribute to a safe & efficient handback to ESSAR Operations & ensure a leak free start-up & reliable operation of the process unit, without the need for un planned downtime.

Main Duties are Described Below

• Produce QA Handover Documentation in accordance with the agreed site standard in regards to contents & quality of the information provided.
• Develop an understanding of the ESSAR Site standard for making of flange joints. (ETS 617)
• Develop an understanding of ESSAR Piping Specifications with regards, to jointing & bolting materials relevant of each specification & its application.
• Liaise with Planning Engineers to resolve any potential issues discovered during maintenance activities.
• Liaise with the assigned ESSAR QA Engineers & build relationships in order to ensure co-operation for all ,maintenance QA activities.
• liaise with Specialist Bolting Contractors Supervision / QA Representative to ensure full understanding of B.U.K. & ESSAR requirements for handover & traceability documentation required upon completion of their relevant tasks.
• Comply with ESSAR & B.U.K. Site Safety rules at all times.

• QA 100% of all Flanged Joints completed by B.U.K. & their Sub-Contractors require to be inspected after work completion. This is to ensure that all joints completed during maintenance activities comply with ESSAR specifications for flange joint integrity.

• Carry out QA checks in accordance with site Piping Specifications & Specifications in regards to, Flange Joint Integrity. Checks include but not restricted to will be bolt tightness, bolting specification, gasket size, condition & specification, & flange alignment.
• Document all inspections carried out and record the date of inspection, maintain traceability details in regards to the supervisor & tradesman completing each joint.
• Prepare all documentation for competed tasks for handover to ESSAR QA Engineer to allow them to carry out the QA activities. Assist ESSAR QA Engineer with any requests for assistance in regards to location, work status etc.
• Update QA Boards to reflect true status of QA checks completed & documentation handed over to ESSAR.
• liaise with B.U.K. Supervision to ensure all QA packs reflect the status of completed activities.
• Liase with Supervision at all times to capture any un-planned & additional flange joints that are broken during execution. Ensure additional are inspected & recorded in order to maintain flange joint integrity standards.
• Assist P.U. Engineer with information as requested in regards to QA related issues.
• Maintain the highest standard of safety behavior at all times.
• Ensure all completed QA Packages / Records are stored in a logical manner & are available upon request to ESSAR QA Engineer or P.U. Assurance Engineer.

• Compile all completed QA Documentation in a logical manner in order to allow for archiving.

Experience in a QA related role on a Top Tier COMAH registered site

Experience in the chemical or oil & gas industry in a senior delivery role.

Computer literate in MS Excel & Word.

HND / HNC and preferably membership of appropriate Institute. Mechanical Qualifications appropriate. Training will be provided if required.
