Job summary

PTC in Cambridge is seeking a QA Engineer to join the CAD/PLM engineering team, contributing to the quality of cloud-enabled product development platforms.

You will design, execute and maintain tests across UI, backend services, APIs, and data layers, collaborating with engineers using TypeScript/Node.js (NestJS/Express) and Angular front-ends, with ORM-backed backends and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Experience as a QA Engineer in a complex software environment.
• Hands-on testing of web-based SaaS platforms.
• Strong test automation experience (UI and/or API).
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with Angular frontend testing and ORM-backed backends.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for CAD/PLM web apps.
• Validate functionality across frontend UI, backend services, APIs, and data layers.
• Test complex workflows and integration points typical of CAD/PLM domains.
• Contribute to and extend test automation frameworks (UI and API).
• Collaborate with engineers using TypeScript/Node.js, NestJS/Express.
