Job summary

Stonebridge Mortgage Solutions Ltd is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure quality across our Revolution cloud-based platform. You will plan and execute manual tests, document defects, and contribute to automation with Playwright and TypeScript.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers, stakeholders, and the QA team to deliver reliable releases. The ideal candidate has strong manual testing experience, a willingness to grow automation skills, and a good grasp of Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong manual testing background; exposure to Playwright automation desirable.
• Experience using at least one test management tool (Azure DevOps).
• SQL experience desirable for database validation.
• Clear communicator with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
• Confident in developing and maintaining detailed test cases and test plans.
• Able to meet pre-employment screening requirements (right to work, DBS, credit checks, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform manual testing to validate system functionality and user experience.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Conduct regression and end-to-end testing for deployment.
• Collaborate with developers and support teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Contribute to test automation using Playwright, TypeScript.
• Attend regular stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions for clear communication.
• Communicate testing progress and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
