Job summary

BT Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a QA Engineer for Mission Critical Services to help assure quality, resilience and reliability of essential systems. You’ll work with software engineers, solution architects and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet demanding standards before reaching customers, contributing to automation and quality improvements across delivery lifecycles.

This role requires eligibility for UK Developed Vetting (DV).

Qualifications

• Experience working within software and/or system integration testing, quality engineering or assurance environments.
• Understanding of testing principles, methodologies and quality assurance practices.
• Experience identifying, documenting and managing defects through to resolution.
• Ability to analyse problems, investigate issues and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute testing activities that support the delivery of high-quality products and services.
• Create, maintain and improve test environments, test cases, test data and quality assurance processes across a range of technology environments.
• Identify, investigate and help resolve defects, working collaboratively with engineering and delivery teams.
• Support integration, regression, functional and non-functional testing activities throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency and delivery confidence.
• Assess risks to quality and service performance, helping teams understand impacts and appropriate mitigations.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding testing outcomes, quality concerns and recommendations.
• Share knowledge, promote engineering best practice and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
