Job summary

MBDA UK Limited is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineering professional to join the Quality Assurance Equipment Engineering team, supporting mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment while driving process improvement.

The role offers hybrid working with two on-site days per week and focuses on leading governance, improving QA processes, and ensuring smooth equipment delivery across major projects, improving customer satisfaction and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ideally minimum HNC/HND in Engineering would be desirable.
• Experience in Quality Assurance within Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
• Proficient in QA problem solving and improvement methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC).
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle, development focus.
• Ability to run reports in Excel and use SAP QM; solid documentation practice.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead, facilitate and influence ME process governance, ensuring ownership and adherence.
• Support and drive key process improvement and lessons learnt activities within ME.
• Ensure ME development equipment projects comply with BMS procedures.
• Plan and review product life cycle activities; manage actions.
• Manage non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Support design and manufacturing defect investigations and data analysis.
• Provide conformance data and reports for senior management reviews.
• Identify and mitigate quality risks for in-house equipment.
• Carry out local flash audits for process adherence and improvement.
• Plan quality-focused micro training to raise awareness.
