The QA Engineer is a key technical role responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable test automation solutions across digital platforms. We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious individual with a passion for quality assurance, automation, and continuous improvement. The TAE will work closely with cross-functional squads to ensure robust testing practices are embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
Main Duties
Implementation & Delivery
- Design, build, and maintain complex test automation frameworks for APIs, mobile apps, and web applications.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure Cloud.
- Develop and execute functional and non-functional tests using tools like Playwright, Appium, Artillery, and JMeter.
- Perform exploratory and manual testing where appropriate.
- Identify automation opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across microservices and distributed systems.
- Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving long-term maintainability.
Collaboration & Communication- Work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to QA strategy and planning.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative engineering culture through Chapters, Squads, and Guilds.
Experience RequiredTechnical Expertise- Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Experience with API/component integration testing using tools such as Bruno and Node-Fetch.
- Experience in mobile app testing using Appium and platforms like BrowserStack.
- Proficiency in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Cloud).
- Experience with non-functional testing tools such as Artillery and JMeter.
- Understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON/XML, and server request execution.
- Knowledge of Node.js, NPM, and various automation frameworks (e.g., Data Driven, Keyword Driven).
- Experience with microservice architecture and distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Git.
- Passion for clean code, automation testing, and continuous delivery.
Desirable Skills- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level
