Job description

About The Role

We are looking for a QA engineer to join our team, taking responsibility for the continuing high quality of our VR and haptic experiences. You will work closely with the QA Team and Development to ensure we produce accurate, realistic and immersive content. You will collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall testing effort on multiple different projects, employing motivated and self-directed testing as well as following structured test plans. You will also aid in the creation of test plans and other documentation when required and contribute to how the overall testing effort can be improved.

What You Will Do

  1. Employ self-directed testing and testing techniques on various builds and applications on our platform.
  2. Follow and correctly execute test cases and other documentation during the product lifecycle to aid in sculpting a polished release.
  3. Provide input on how we can continually develop automation scripts and systems to help improve the efficiency of the QA effort.
  4. Identify, investigate and report all discovered defects into the internal bug tracker to ensure reports are to a high standard, offering additional information and support if required.
  5. Participate in agile development and SCRUM.
  6. Collaborate within the QA group to continually refine and improve test processes and procedures.
  7. Engage in collective responsibility for maintaining a high-quality product.
  8. Hands-on experience testing and appraising software including but not limited to, audio and visual features.
  9. Experience with general QA processes throughout the development project life cycle of more than one project, with the ability and initiative to suggest improvements where applicable.
  10. Good familiarity with common bug finding terminology, methods, and principles.
  11. Capable of accurately assessing and identifying issue severity.
  12. Great knowledge of bug tracking and test case solutions such as Jira, Testrail, Mantis, DevSuite or other TCM solutions.
  13. The ability to work both supervised and unsupervised, and where needed independently prioritise work suiting the situational needs.
  14. VR experience beneficial.
  15. A solid understanding of common project management methodologies such as Agile.
  16. Experience with Unity and basic understanding of how it works is a plus.
  17. Automation scripting or common practices a plus.
