Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our team at Deskpro, a growing help desk software company. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our product by manually testing stories and bug fixes, advocating for QA needs, and assisting in triaging and reproducing defects. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to automating exploratory tests with Playwright, helping us maintain high testing standards while accelerating our product's development.

As a QA Engineer, you will:

  • Work closely with scrum teams to manually test stories and bug fixes ensuring that each release is of the highest quality
  • Advocate for QA needs during scrum meetings and refinements, ensuring testing requirements are well-defined and understood across the team
  • Assist in triaging and reproducing defects, ensuring quick identification of issues and their efficient resolution
  • Run regression and smoke tests on an ad-hoc basis and during release cycles, maintaining system stability
  • Convert appropriate exploratory tests into automated Playwright tests (JS/TS), enhancing our automation coverage and streamlining our testing process
Requirements
  • Proven experience in QA engineering or software testing, ideally within an Agile development environment
  • Solid knowledge of manual testing practices and automated testing using tools like Playwright (JS/TS) or similar
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development and product teams
  • Experience with triaging defects and working directly with developers to ensure quick issue resolution
  • Familiarity with regression testing and smoke testing as part of release cycles
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring a high-quality user experience
  • Familiarity with Agile processes and tools
  • Must be able to attend our Wimbledon office at least 2 days per week
