MCS Group is working with a well-established and leading InsurTech company who are expanding their testing team. They're seeking a QA Engineer, with proven experience, to bolster their ranks following a continuous increase in new business flowing into the company. You will take on different levels of responsibility within the software development cycle, including testing and reporting on their products. If you're a passionate QA looking for a new opportunity, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test plans, scenarios, and documentation.
• Work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
• Identify, report, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Introduce test automation where appropriate to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Take ownership of quality within projects, suggesting process improvements where beneficial.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in software testing.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent qualification/certification.
• Strong knowledge of QA practices, tools, and processes.
• Experience producing clear, structured test documentation.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working both independently and in a team.

Desirable Experience

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or SoapUI.
• Exposure to IT security or vulnerability testing.
• Programming skills in C# and experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium.
