Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Typescript and at least one of .Net, C#, or Python.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman and RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design quality strategies for new features from the planning stage.
  • Coach developers on testing best practices.
  • Create test automation frameworks for applications at API, service, and UI levels.
  • Implement specialized testing for performance, security, and accessibility.
  • Maintain CI/CD testing pipelines in collaboration with the Platform Engineering team.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Design quality strategies for new features from the planning stage, defining clear acceptance criteria and quality metrics
  • Coach developers on testing best practices, helping them build more reliable user experiences and compliant workflows
  • Create test automation frameworks for front and back-end applications at API, service, and UI levels
  • Implement specialised testing for performance, security, and accessibility
  • Maintain CI/CD testing pipelines in collaboration with our Platform Engineering team to ensure rapid, reliable delivery of features
  • Identify quality risks early by participating in design sessions and providing expertise on complex testing challenges
  • Evaluate and implement quality tools that enhance the team's efficiency in delivering exceptional user experiences
  • Collaborate with product owners throughout the product delivery lifecycle, from discovery to live. Contribute to requirements and ensure testability

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong programming skills in Typescript and at least one of the following: .Net, C# or Python
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools Playwright, Cypress, Appium)
  • Experience with API testing Postman, RestAssured)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions)
  • Experience writing automated non-functional-requirement tests, including accessibility, load, performance, security
  • Experience testing the provisioning of cloud based infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code Azure, Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and quality practices within agile teams
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • Previous experience in the sports marketing industry
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry, preferably gaming
  • Background in software development
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others in quality practices
  • A/B testing and experimentation
