Job summary

Group plc is seeking a Middle Level QA Automation Engineer to join the Technology Department in London. You will design, build, and maintain automated tests (Playwright, API tests) and work with developers to shift-left quality.

You will implement test frameworks, help with CI/CD, and ensure compliance with FCA rules in a fast-paced financial services environment. Responsibilities include test automation, defect logging, quality reporting, and coaching peers on best practices in automation.

Qualifications

• Middle Level QA Automation Engineer with automation focus.
• Experience configuring and implementing automated testing—unit, UI, API, performance/load, and frameworks such as Playwright, Postman and Swagger.
• Familiar with Jira, XRAY, Bitbucket Cloud, AWS, Splunk and MongoDB in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated tests to reduce manual work and accelerate delivery.
• Shift‑left collaboration with developers and product managers to define quality standards early.
• Support CI/CD by integrating tests and providing rapid feedback on changes.
• Conduct API, performance and data integrity testing beyond UI checks.
