Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a QA Auditor to join our Factory.

Although this role will be Monday to Friday 05.45 – 14.00, the position will require the successful candidate to work the following rotational shift pattern for an unknown commissioning period, determined by project delivery:

Week 2: Mon, Tues & Wed 06.00 – 18.00

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the quality and process audit service to the factory. They will ensure that the objectives and procedures detailed in the quality manual are achieved and that the safety, legality, and quality of the product are maintained.

Role Overview:

Assist in the operation of the QA function by maintaining standards regarding food safety, hygiene, discipline, and health and safety. All issues arising from these duties should be reported to the Senior QA or Site QA Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct process audit checks.
  2. Sign off on line when product changeovers occur (e.g., meat to veg, different meat species, CFC varieties).
  3. Perform glass & plastic audits.
  4. Carry out probe & scale calibration.
  5. Conduct on-line or kitchen panels and report failures.
  6. Manage washouts and positive releases.
  7. Follow up on taste panel issues with re-sampling and blocking stock.
  8. Perform end-of-life sampling.
  9. Conduct QAS and consistency panels as scheduled.
  10. Assist in preparing for customer visits and audits.
  11. Support NPD during factory trials.
  12. Carry out raw material intake checks.
  13. Verify CCP checks and ensure completion by production.
Handling Non-Conformances:
  1. Issue and report non-conformances.
  2. Place non-conforming stock on hold.
  3. Issue concessions under guidance.
  4. Ensure hold procedures are followed for raw materials and finished products.
  5. Maintain and audit production process paperwork for document control.
  6. Assist in training production staff on food hygiene and GMP.
  7. Prepare and complete hygiene verification swabs as scheduled.

Candidates should ideally have experience in the Food Industry with strong auditing skills. Excellent organization skills are essential, along with HACCP knowledge.
