QA Assistant

Our Client is one of the UK's largest Importers and Distributors in their sector within the Fruit Industry, supplying a variety of customers nationwide, including the major retailers. We now offer an excellent opportunity for a QA Assistant to join the business in a key Quality Assurance role.

Reporting to the QA Manager, the position of QA Assistant will join a dedicated team to ensure product quality and product labelling is accurate, working to resolve any issues that do arise in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assist in the development of new packing processes and quality management procedures
2. Work with production colleagues to ensure all procedures are being adhered to
3. Sample collection and shelf life testing, completing accurate paperwork
4. Manage Traceability documentation and Corrective Action Requests
5. Work to customer specifications and packing requirements

We require:

1. FMCG / Food / Fresh Produce sector exposure (Fruit advantageous)
2. Experience / knowledge of product Quality Control / Quality Assurance
3. Knowledge of Auditing, HACCP, Specifications, and the importance of meeting the customer's needs would be highly advantageous
4. A driving licence is essential

Hourly paid salary c£26k
