Job summary

Graphcore in Bristol is seeking a Software Engineer to join its PyTorch-focused framework team. You will design, implement, optimise, and support software powering ML accelerators and ensure first-class integration with PyTorch and other frameworks.

You will work in a SCRUM team, developing high-performance C++ and Python code, reviewing changes, writing docs, mentoring teammates, and helping shape the team’s technical direction while maintaining high code quality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable software engineering experience with Python and C++.
• Experience developing performant C++ applications in a commercial/industrial setting.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks or kernel development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new features and maintaining existing ones.
• Developing and maintaining unit, component, and integration tests.
• Optimising the software stack for performance and scalability.
• Managing complex tasks with cross-team dependencies and technical debt.
• Providing technical leadership and contributing to direction and processes.
• Contributing to documentation, user manuals, and tutorials.
