Job summary

Attribution Search are working with a Global Hedge Fund in London looking to hire a Python Developer to join its Technology team.

You will work alongside traders and quants to develop and enhance the Python-based investment platform, delivering new functionality, integrations and tooling for the end-to-end investment process.

The role involves building OMS/PMS capabilities, automating workflows and participating in code reviews, testing and deployment to support trading and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience with OMS/PMS or similar investment platform is ideal
• Exposure to financial markets through hedge funds, asset managers or banks
• Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in building software used by investment teams
• 2:1+ degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Science required

This is an opportunity to work on the firm's core investment platform, building and enhancing the technology that supports trading, portfolio management, risk, compliance and operations.

The Role

Working alongside traders, portfolio managers and the wider technology team, you'll help develop and enhance the firm's Python-based investment platform, building new functionality, integrations and tools that support the investment process from front to back.

You’ll be involved in:

• Developing and enhancing OMS/PMS functionality.
• Building Python applications and integrations across the firm's technology stack.
• Developing tools supporting trading, portfolio management, risk, compliance and operations.
• Integrating investment systems and automating business workflows.
• Participating in code reviews, testing and deployment of new functionality.

What They’re Looking For

• Experience working on an Order Management System (OMS), Portfolio Management System (PMS) or similar investment platform is ideal, but not required.
• Exposure to financial markets through a hedge fund, asset manager or investment bank.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in building software used directly by investment teams.
• 2:1+ in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or Science Degree.

Experience with Front Arena Technology is a bonus!
