Job summary

TEKsystems recruits a Python Developer to join a regulatory technology team within a leading investment bank in London. You will design and develop scalable Python applications to support regulatory reporting, handling high volumes of transaction data.

The role involves collaborating with Business Analysts, Compliance teams and Transaction Reporting SMEs to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical solutions, and building data processing pipelines for millions of daily

Qualifications

• Minimum proven experience creating Python applications in a financial services setting.
• Experience with regulatory reporting, transaction processing and data flows.
• Solid understanding of API design using Flask or similar frameworks.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with Oracle Database.
• Familiarity with data analysis using Pandas.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and release management practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with regulatory reporting teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Python applications supporting regulatory reporting and compliance functions.
• Partner with Business Analysts, Compliance teams and Transaction Reporting SMEs to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Build highly scalable data processing pipelines capable of handling millions of daily financial transactions.
• Conduct detailed data analysis, investigations, and root-cause assessments relating to reporting breaches and regulatory inquiries.
• Develop reconciliation and validation frameworks to ensure reporting accuracy and data integrity.
• Support remediation initiatives through the design of historical replay and data reconstruction capabilities.
• Drive system enhancements focused on performance, reliability, auditability and operational resilience.
• Manage and support software releases through the full development lifecycle, including testing, deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to deliver regulatory change programmes and strategic platform improvements.
