Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking a no-nonsense technologist to join a London-based quant trading team. You’ll design, build, maintain and test cutting-edge systems, handling big data and HPC challenges with low-latency focus.

Collaborating with traders and technologists, you’ll tackle high-throughput problems, own projects, and push for impactful results in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Strong Python/Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python and Linux.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-directed and able to take ownership of projects.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with HPC systems and technologies such as grid clusters and large data processing.
• Exposure to C++ or willingness to learn.

Collaborating extensively with traders and other technologists, your main focus will be designing, building, maintaining and testing cutting-edge systems. You’ll be exposed to a wide range of technologies and challenging problems involving big data and HPC. Most problems require high-availability, high-throughput and low latency solutions.
