This is an opportunity for a SC CLEARED Python Developer working at the forefront of digital Defence technology. The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge public-sector project, seeking to exploit data for the benefit of the nation.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Experience with Python, including building APIs
• Knowledge of RESTful API principles
• Experience with ElasticSearch
• Awareness of Git, CICD pipelines, and containers
• Knowledge of security in a web context
• Ability to write automated test scripts using Pytest
• Desirable: Flask, Celery, S3-compatible services, Pydantic, data visualization libraries, GitHub

Required Non-Technical Skills:

• Willingness to work abroad
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Support the wider team to generate solutions to complex problems, improve efficiency, and decision-making
• Collaborate with other developers and participate in code reviews
• Appreciation for agile working methods and Government Digital Service standards
• Willingness to participate in requirement gathering and definition
• Full stack development experience is a strong advantage

Additional Information:

• Rate offered: £450-500 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Location: Hybrid, 1-2 days a week on-site in Portsmouth, Hampshire
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 3 months (initially)
• Required: ACTIVE SC Clearance
