Python Engineer – Manchester (Hybrid) – £60,000 - £75,000 + Benefits

Are you a seasoned Python Engineer who enjoys building clean, scalable backend systems in the cloud? We’re working with a fast-growing tech company based in Manchester that’s looking for a strong Python developer to join their team.

You’ll play a key role in designing and developing robust backend services and infrastructure, working closely with cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code tools. While the team works on a number of AI/ML projects, this is not a machine learning role - though an interest or past experience in the space is always a bonus!

What you’ll need:

• 5+ years of commercial Python experience, focused on backend development
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Strong understanding of Terraform and infrastructure as code
• Solid grasp of unit testing using PyTest (or similar)
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, etc)

Nice to have:

• Exposure to ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch (not essential)
• Experience in e-commerce or retail tech environments

This is a hybrid role, so candidates must be based within a commutable distance to Manchester. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position.
