Senior Python Developer – Build Scalable Solutions with Cutting-Edge Tech!

Location: Devon (this is not a remote role and will require twice per week visit to the office)

Salary: up to £70,000

We’re on the hunt for a highly skilled Python Developer to play a key role in modernizing and optimizing our telematics applications. You’ll be designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions, integrating AWS services, and working on real-time data processing at scale.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, real-time telematics applications
2. Optimizing code for low latency and high throughput to handle large-scale vehicle data
3. Using AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS
4. Implementing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
5. Ensuring secure data transmission and storage aligned with industry best practices
6. Monitoring performance with AWS tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray
7. Collaborating with data engineers, DevOps, and product teams to drive innovation

What We’re Looking For:

1. Expert Python developer with experience in high-performance systems
2. Strong background in scalable and efficient software design
3. Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Aurora, Kinesis, etc.)
4. Skilled in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
5. Strong knowledge of Git, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices
6. Familiarity with ETL processes, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Agile methodologies
7. Bonus points if you have experience with Java, C++, or MS Azure data warehousing!
