A leading MedTech organisation is harnessing platform technology and life sciences to transform the use of clinical data. By utilising advanced machine learning, they empower biopharma and academic institutions to gain valuable insights into disease progression and treatment effectiveness. Their cloud-based platform enables clients to seamlessly upload, curate, and analyse imaging data, driving innovation in patient care for complex conditions.

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Python Developer to contribute to the ongoing development of an advanced platform, improving REST APIs and refining the web-based UI. The primary focus will be on backend development using Python, with scope to support front-end work for those with Next.js experience. The platform operates within an AWS-based infrastructure, deployed via Terraform on EKS, ensuring a scalable and resilient environment.

What You’ll Need:

• A STEM degree from a recognised university
• Full right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
• Proficiency in Python development
• Experience in building, documenting, and testing REST APIs
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
• Strong communication skills and experience working in agile teams
• Understanding of AI as a Medical Device (AIaMD) development and relevant regulations (EU MDR, FDA, ISO 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 34971)
• Comfortable working with Linux-based systems
• Experience with Django
• Knowledge of SQL and database schema design
• Exposure to Next.js / TypeScript (beneficial but not essential)
• Experience with Docker and Docker-Compose
