Job Description:

One of the world’s most prestigious hedge funds is looking for an outstanding Python Developer to join their Fixed Income trading team.

You’ll join a small team of 10 PMs that enjoys significant autonomy and is looking to expand their risk-taking capabilities. Working directly with the PM/trader, you’ll support the team’s entire tech stack. You must balance long-term stability and sustainability of the tech stack with the immediate needs of risk takers. The tech stack primarily uses Python, with heavy reliance on cloud resources and containerization.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure stability of daily production, including data ingestion, processing, and production services
• Maintain the team’s infrastructure (SQL databases, Linux servers, CI, services, etc.)
• Enforce best coding practices and guide team members
• Translate user ideas into production-level code and assist risk-takers in improving their code

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 5+ years of development experience (more preferred)
• Deep understanding of Python
• Experience managing SQL databases, especially dealing with time series data
• Technical background in Maths, Computer Science, or Engineering; finance experience not mandatory
• Advanced academic background (Masters or PhD) in STEM fields
• Previous experience in Fixed Income
