Job summary

Turning Point is recruiting a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Team Leader for the Wakefield Talking Therapies service. The role combines clinical caseload management with supervision and leadership of PWPs in a supportive setting.

The ideal candidate will be an accredited PWP with NHS Talking Therapies experience, excellent communication, and strong organisational skills. A supervision course is essential, and the role offers a 12-month fixed-term contract and opportunities to lead service

Qualifications

You will have an accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
Experience of working within an NHS Talking Therapies service.
Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to manage priorities.
Experience of supervising or mentoring staff.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary leadership team.
Completion of an accredited IAPT/Talking Therapies Supervision Course (essential).

Responsibilities

Balance clinical and leadership duties while managing your caseload.
Provide supervision, line management and professional leadership to PWPs.
Support recruitment, induction and ongoing development of team members.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure safe, effective service delivery.
Monitor waiting lists, caseloads and capacity for timely access to treatment.
Use service data to drive improvement and meet targets.
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders for integrated care.
