A local government authority in the UK is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to contribute to the city's environmental standards. Applicants will enjoy working outdoors, being active and dealing with people. You will work within a team or independently, to provide exceptional services to our residents and visitors, by completing grounds maintenance and street cleansing tasks across the city.
The job can be physically demanding, as you carry out a range of duties, including seasonal work tasks, outdoors, and in all weather conditions. You will complete a range of routine operational tasks requiring the skilled operation of vehicles, power tools or equipment in accordance with work practices to support the provision of front-line services which is aligned to customer need.

This is a permanent variable hours contract which means that should you be successful, opportunities to work may vary in hours, each week/month. You will have the same rights as other council workers, but you will have the flexibility to accept work when you are available.
