PVG Administration Assistant: Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA)

Location: Hampden Park, Glasgow (partial homeworking)
Contract: Full Time temporary (35 hrs/week) (contract length 6 months, possibility of extension)
Rate of Pay: £12.60 Per Hour
Closing Date: 23rdMay 2025 (we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications)

The Scottish Youth Football Association is looking for a highly organised PVG Administration Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves a fast-paced environment, has office and administration experience, and wants to make a real difference to youth football in Scotland.

This role demands that you have the ability to prioritise your workload in an effective manner to ensure the consistent delivery of a quality service to our members.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide PVG administration support through processing applications, knowledge of PVG process is desirable, but no essential
  • Provide effective administrative support across various areas of the organisation as required
  • Build supportive and effective relationships with member leagues and clubs
  • Provide secretarial assistance to the Head of Operations as required
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve the SYFA member experience
Person specification
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including accurate, clear written skills and professional telephone manner.
  • Exceptional organisation and time-management skills
  • Proven experience in the application of office systems such as Microsoft Office, in particular, Outlook, Word and Access.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to maintain records in an ordered and confidential manner.
  • Demonstrates commitment, patience, and resilience in an environment of change.
  • Passionate about providing exceptional service
  • Personally responsible for building up own experience & filling knowledge gaps
  • Shows respect, integrity, professionalism, and sensitivity in treatment of others
  • Effectively balances competing priorities
