Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on, highly motivated Mechanical Engineer who is a great team player! The successful candidate will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from prototype to productization, playing a key role in the mechanical design and qualification of future KLA products.

The engineer will support the design, construction, and qualification of a wide range of KLA equipment and integrated components. Responsibilities include providing solutions for tooling, test fixtures, and prototypes to validate concepts and assess risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete mechanical design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, cost management, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve design requirements, implement best practices, and deliver functional product designs.
• Design mechanical components using Solid Edge CAD software or similar tools.
• Conduct or oversee CFD and FEA analyses to optimize airflow and mechanical design of semiconductor equipment.
• Create 3D mechanical models and 2D drawings, applying proper mechanical tolerances.
• Coordinate with suppliers to develop components and sub-systems that meet development timelines.
• Ensure parts and assemblies are manufactured according to design, cost, and schedule specifications.
• Participate in the entire design/build cycle, including modeling, reviews, drawing generation, procurement, integration, and testing.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree qualification or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Solid Edge.
• Experience in a development and design environment.
• Design experience with CNC machining is desirable.
• Experience with FEA tools is preferred but not essential.
• Understanding of CE/SEMI compliance requirements is advantageous.
