Job summary

KLA's SPTS division in Newport, UK, is seeking a multidisciplinary Engineer to work on electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, supporting Alpha & Beta Systems and retrofits, with hands-on learning from the engineering team.

You will collaborate with specialists, meet tight deadlines in a regulated environment, and travel internationally up to 50% to assist with customer problems. Minimum HNC in relevant field required, with strong fault-finding and testing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Multidisciplinary engineering knowledge across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop, and improve PVD semiconductor process equipment hardware.
• Build and fault find in new designs in the factory as part of PLC process.
• Install and fault find new products at customer sites.
• Report back to the factory on improvements and customer requirements.
• Improve serviceability of new designs.
• Test and ensure machines meet international standards.
• Write technical reports.
• Plan and execute hardware testing, validation, and performance characterization.
• Work with process engineers to optimize hardware performance for reliability and process capability.
• Support technology development programs from concept to customer-ready.
