To support the organisation at all stages of the supply chain to ensure that the material flow throughout the site supports planned production and all related functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generate MRP for Key suppliers/Commodities.
2. Assist with projects & RFQ generation.
3. Negotiate and agree on pricing with Suppliers.
4. Raise and manage EC orders.
5. Manage invoice queries.
6. Obtain and transact into MRP the weekly expedite reports and acknowledgements from suppliers.
7. Generate and review the monthly shortage report.
8. Identify and report to operational staff and the Purchasing Manager any risks in the supply chain that may impact manufacturing planning.
9. Ensure Quality standards are rigorously applied and actively identify issues affecting quality.
10. Adhere to all policy and legislative requirements regarding Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

• Broad understanding of high-volume buying within the electronics industry.
• Experience in negotiating and agreeing prices with suppliers.
• Understanding of Quality standards and their application in purchasing roles.
• Previous demonstrable experience in buying/MRP.
• Effective communication with suppliers and internal customers.
• Numerate, accurate, with attention to detail.
• Excellent PC skills, including MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
