Job Title: Purchasing Manager / Production Planner
Shift Pattern: 08:30 am – 17:00 pm Monday to Friday
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager / Production Planner to join their family run manufacturing facility based in Leicester.

The Role:
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements and optimise resources
Monitor production workflows, identifying and addressing potential delays
Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to quality standards and timely delivery
Monitor and log production timings, analyse data and work with the operations manager to drive efficiency
Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and equipment necessary for production
Maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and ensure supply chain reliability
Monitor inventory levels, implementing strategies to minimise costs while preventing shortages
Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to forecast demand and adjust production plans accordingly
Coordinate with the accounts department and managing director to manage budgets and control expenditures related to production and procurement
Analyse production and procurement processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Our Ideal Candidate:
Experience of using ERP systems
Qualifications within Supply Chain Management
Experience within production planning and purchasing management
Construction materials / construction industry experience advantageous
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise according to business needs
