Job description

As Purchasing Manager you will oversee and be responsible for all aspects of our purchasing department.

Ensuring the company acquires the necessary goods and services at the best possible price and quality.

As a line manager to our Purchasing assistant, you will provide guidance, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

This is an international role, and you will be dealing with people and vendors from around the globe and purchasing in various currencies.

  • Liaising with all departments to determine what goods, services, and equipment are needed
  • Negotiating best product prices, timely delivery schedules, cost effective shipping management.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or disputes
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimise the purchasing process, including sourcing, and cost reduction.
  • You will be reviewing and processing customs requests on a daily basis, ensuring imports run smoothly
  • Using our ERP system (Cin7-in house training will be given), you will analyse procurement data, identifying trends, and be aware of spending, savings, and performance.
  • Review and process purchase orders, and maintain records of goods ordered and received
  • Arrange shipping of goods were applicable to ensure timely delivery at a cost effective price.

Profile:

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate and have

  • Experience in a previous purchasing/procurement/planning role
  • Excellent numerical skills, be able to work with a variety of currencies.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Confidence when dealing with people at all levels, politeness, show strategic thinking, and have strong analytical skills. A can do; positive attitude.
