Job description

XCL Group is working with a busy, growing client who is seeking an experienced individual to join as a Purchasing Manager. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as this position involves ensuring the continuous and efficient flow of products and supplies. This is a great opportunity to take on a dynamic role within the supply chain department alongside like-minded professionals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the procurement of all raw materials used in production and maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Overseeing a purchasing budget of approximately GBP 35M annually and meeting all targets.
  • Conducting regular stock takes and preparing reports for quarterly meetings.
  • Monitoring stock levels in satellite warehouses and coordinating logistics to ensure steady material supply.
  • Adhering to the highest health and safety standards and ISO 9001 guidelines.
  • Preparing costings and bills of materials to support sales and production planning.
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of team members within the purchasing department.
  • Reviewing costings and SLAs regularly to maintain quality and reduce costs where possible.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Purchasing Manager.
  • Knowledge of polymer, compound, or chemical procurement.
  • Strong data entry and report compilation skills.
  • Excellent Excel and organizational skills.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
