Pure Resourcing Solutions in Ipswich, Suffolk, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing function, manage supplier relationships and optimise stock levels in a growing business.

You will develop processes, coach the purchasing team, work with operations and logistics, and drive ERP enhancements and data reporting to support strategic decisions.

Lead Procurement Strategy in a Growing Business An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a well-established and successful organisation based in Suffolk.

This is a key leadership role within the supply chain function, responsible for overseeing purchasing operations, managing supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement and ensuring effective stock management across the business. Working closely with multiple departments, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining product availability, improving efficiencies and supporting wider business objectives.

This position would suit a proactive procurement professional who enjoys leading teams, developing processes and working within a fast-paced commercial environment.

The Role As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the purchasing team while ensuring procurement activities are aligned with operational and strategic business goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing a team of purchasing professionals
• Creating a high‑performing and collaborative team culture
• Overseeing purchasing activities and supplier performance

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager role
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement strategiesInventory management and stock control experience
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Confidence working with data, reporting and performance metrics
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
