E3 Recruitment is seeking a Purchasing Manager for a leading manufacturing organisation. You will lead supplier relationships, drive procurement strategy and manage a team to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently to support production and project delivery.

The role targets strong supplier management, cost savings and continuous improvement within an international operation, with a focus on inventory control and cross-functional collaboration across operations and projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, payment terms and service agreements to deliver the best commercial outcomes.
• Drive procurement strategy across the site to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Manage the purchasing team to source materials and services efficiently for production and projects.
• Oversee purchasing activity from requisitions to supplier expediting and ensure delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock control processes to balance availability and working capital.
• Track supplier performance using KPIs and quality metrics and take proactive action as needed.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, operations and project teams to support growth and continuous improvement.

The company is now looking to appoint a Purchasing Manager to drive procurement performance, supplier relationships and inventory strategy within a growing international organisation.

Key responsibilities of a Purchasing Manager will include:

• Lead and develop supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, payment terms and service agreements to deliver the best commercial outcomes for the business.
• Drive procurement strategy across the site, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier performance and strengthen the overall supply chain.
• Manage the purchasing team, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently to support production and project delivery requirements.
• Oversee all purchasing activity, from requisitions and purchase orders through to supplier expediting, ensuring delivery schedules are maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock control processes, balancing availability of materials with effective working capital management.
• Track supplier performance through KPIs, quality measures and delivery metrics, taking proactive action where improvements are required.
• Work closely with senior leadership, operations and project teams to support business growth, continuous improvement initiatives and procurement best practice
