Role responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager include:

  • Lead and develop the team to ensure efficient sourcing and purchasing operations
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements
  • Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align procurement activities with organisational goals
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement

Person Specification of the Purchasing Manager:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
