WHAT IS THE ROLE?

You will be responsible for Purchase order creation with accurate information, maintained with updates to detail, such as expected goods ready date, batch and expiry dates etc. You will also be responsible for ensuring all month end reporting is proactively updated and highlight any risks to delivery. As well as partnering and communicating with production and logistics (shipping) leads to ensure smooth flow of product to meet project timelines.

In addition you will also be responsible :

1. Own and control all batch and expiry dates, supporting shelf life extensions on product, and aligning Sage accordingly.
2. Ensure project timelines are adhered to, minimizing any risk of delays and cost impact, including scheduling products in line with MOQs & lead times, considering customer expectations.
3. Support efficiency and process improvement projects (i.e. cleansing inventory, batch, and expiry information in Sage).
4. For owning Sage (ERP) Master data, ensuring the system aligns to supplier and physical product information.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a similar purchasing role in the past, ideally having exposure to Sage as a system. You must also have strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage effectively a high level of transactions.

The role does not work directly with suppliers rather receives Purchase Order instructions from our internal production team. You must be a strong communicator and the ability to think strategically and holistically to support where possible to identify opportunities for bulk buys / volume buys etc.
