Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Saica UKI Purchasing Graduate based at PM11, Carrington, Manchester. The role involves deploying all activities of the Procurement department to optimize processes and identify synergies among the UK divisions: Paper, Pack, Natur, and Flex.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the application of Procurement policies in investments, services, and spare parts.
  2. Managing relationships between IT and Procurement regarding process improvements and implementation.
  3. Supporting the implementation of JANO Auxiliary Materials in Paper UK.
  4. Promoting and deploying internal procurement processes and continuous improvement thereof.
  5. Coordinating specific projects between geographical plants, locations, and business areas.
  6. Supporting the preparation of reports (e.g., Sustainability, Non-Financial, Quality Audits).
  7. Identifying synergies between plants and business areas to enhance performance.
  8. Conducting market analysis of main categories and suppliers, building supplier profiles and panel templates.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Undergraduate technical degree or in business administration (or relevant discipline).
  • Experience in an industrial multinational company (minimum 1 year).
  • Resilient with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary and cross-site teams.
  • Proficient in Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP SRM (desirable).
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel across UKI as required.
