Job summary

Kent County Council seeks a motivated Supported Living Purchasing Officer on a full-time, permanent basis to manage end-to-end purchasing of supported living packages. The role collaborates with internal teams, providers and stakeholders to secure high-quality care and value for money.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Supported Living Purchasing Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a key role responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing supported living packages of care and support, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet individual needs.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

About the Role

• manage the end-to-end purchasing of supported living packages
• Work closely with internal teams, providers, and stakeholders to ensure appropriate care and support arrangements are purchased correctly
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Resolve queries, challenges, and issues efficiently and effectively
• Ensure timely delivery of services while maintaining quality and value for money

This is a hybrid role, with some requirement to travel for meetings and team engagement as needed.
