Job description

Personnel Selection are pleased to be working with this fantastic Andover based business, who are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator on a full time and permanent basis who will be rresponsible for the overall purchase ordering, as well as building relationships with suppliers.

This will be an office based role, working 9am to 5:30pm Mon to Fri. My client offers 23 days annual leave, excellent on the job training, company pension, life assurance and more. There is free on-site parking.

The ideal candidate for this role has the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in a purchasing role is essential
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Good knowledge of ERP systems
• Highly organised and motivated with outstanding attention to detail
• Confident in working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to strict deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Collaborates effectively and works well within a team

Duties will include:

• Assisting with maintaining stock at agreed levels and preparing and running regular purchasing reports
• Managing and carrying out tasks for the Group in relation to procurement – developing supplier matrix on supplier performance, measuring progress, analysing sales to forecast stock
• Booking all stock into system and converting back orders
• Liaising with and building relationships with suppliers (accounts management), transport and Import Agents (including shipping documents)
