It could suit a grad with some industry experience seeking to break into Buying/Purchasing, or someone with experience in a transferrable role.
The Role - Providing support across the procurement team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of procurement processes. This includes creating and tracking purchase orders (POs) in line with established policies, proactively using 90-day arrangement renewal notifications to engage users ahead of expiry and maintaining accurate system records. You will liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to expedite fulfilment, resolve service issues, and manage invoicing queries. You will also obtain quotations, negotiate, and balance cost management with timely delivery. Strong relationship-building, internally and externally, will be essential to becoming a trusted procurement partner. Additionally, you will integrate sustainability principles into procurement activity to align with organisational carbon reduction and social impact goals, while liaising with Legal and Finance teams as required. Maintaining procurement records, reporting on progress, and completing ad-hoc administrative and data tasks will round out your vital contribution to the team.
