About Our Client

My client sources from a wide array of suppliers and support house builders in designing specifications, distributing from our seven warehouses across the UK.

Job Description

  • Processing purchase orders and ensuring purchases are made at the correct price and margin, including handling call-off orders on a weekly, quarterly, or fortnightly basis as needed.
  • Managing stock by utilizing slow-moving or deadstock before ordering and maintaining key stock lines for group deal customers.
  • Collaborating with internal sales teams in Southern branches to ensure stock is correctly called in and site orders are placed promptly.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Verifying order confirmations to ensure accuracy in items, quantities, and pricing.
  • Assisting the accounts department with any invoice queries.
  • Running reports and using Excel to track product movement, ensuring appropriate stock levels in branches, and monitoring outstanding purchase orders, customer stock requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Organizing stock transfers between branches as needed.
  • Working with the Group Procurement Manager to develop and maintain stock control processes.
  • Performing additional duties as required by the business, with appropriate training provided.

  • Highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Proficient in PC use, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Confident and able to take initiative when necessary.
