Job description

As Procurement Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Procurement Team. You will assist in various procurement activities, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods and services. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work collaboratively will contribute to our overall success.

Salary will be minimum wage (£11.42/hr) for a 6-month probation period, rising to £12/hr upon successful completion. The role is office-based, five days a week (Monday – Friday), from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Experience in purchasing and familiarity with D365 would be advantageous, but we prioritize finding the right fit for the team. The candidate will mainly work alongside the Buyer and another Purchasing Assistant. This is an entry-level position, so extensive skills are not required; however, accuracy is essential due to the nature of the role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Reporting to the Buyer.
  2. Mitigating the risk of late supply by proactively tracking orders to ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
  3. Managing documentation throughout the procurement process.
  4. Controlling consumables from initiation to completion.
  5. Communicating with internal stakeholders to capture, mitigate, and communicate delays.
  6. Problem solving and data analysis to facilitate quick, informed decisions.
  7. Working with accounts to resolve invoicing queries.
