In this role, you will support our purchasing processes and help ensure that we maintain an optimum supply of raw materials to meet production demands.

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will assist in sourcing and purchasing various materials, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities

  • Help our purchasing team in finding and acquiring the necessary raw materials and packaging supplies
  • Keep our supplier databases organized and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Prepare purchase orders and keep an eye on their status to guarantee prompt deliveries
  • Reach out to suppliers to address any concerns regarding deliveries, pricing, or product quality
  • Conduct market research to discover new suppliers and assess their offerings
  • Assist in keeping track of inventory by monitoring stock levels and participating in regular stock checks
  • Support the team in analysing purchasing data and compiling reports for management

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for effective supplier interaction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with various departments
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or administrative role would be advantageous but not mandatory
