About The Role:

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn more and work in a fast-paced Procurement function where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to work within the Purchasing Department covering the end-to-end procurement process within the Direct and Indirect Purchasing Teams on 3–6 month rotations allowing you to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding whilst contributing to the Team’s Procurement goals. This post is part of a formal apprenticeship programme that includes the CIPS Level 3 Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations.

This Apprenticeship will take part at our Campus in Brackley working towards Procurement & Supply, where the programme is delivered online via weekly interactive training as well as self-study. You must have a passion for your own development as this programme is delivered online via weekly interactive learning sessions with a CIPS trainer and monthly one-to-one coaching with an experienced procurement coach. You will have full access to CIPS online resources and peer to peer learning is facilitated with other procurement learners.

Key Skills to be Developed:

• Be able to demonstrate the skills learnt by increasingly working independently, being involved in and ultimately running tenders and negotiating with suppliers.
• Monitor and develop suppliers’ performance.
• Developing stakeholder relationships across the business.
• Proactively liaising between suppliers and stakeholders to resolve purchasing supply issues.
• Ensure an accurate delivery status for Purchase orders.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have:

• A strong interest in procurement, combined with a curiosity to understand how it works in a Formula 1 environment.
• Every day is a learning day, so you will bring an open mind to communicate and collaborate effectively with your colleagues.
• We strive to be a team that consistently wins championships – to do so requires each of us to be self-driven, dependable and flexible.
• The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner is essential – as are the confidence to put your hand up and ask when something is unknown or ambiguous, and the humility to admit mistakes when they arise.
• Can demonstrate a strong customer focus with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Has the ability to plan and organise work using own initiative.
• Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Our Level 3 apprenticeships require the following:

• You must have an existing and valid right to work for the duration of the apprenticeship in the UK. Applicants who require a visa to work in the UK should be aware that our apprenticeships are ineligible for sponsorship.
• Availability to complete the level 3 apprenticeship up to a 42-month duration.
• Evidence of having been resident in the UK for 3 years prior to taking up the apprenticeship in September this year or candidates who qualify for an exemption as stated here: Apprenticeship funding rules - GOV.UK.
• At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) with results of 5 and above. Please note that three of the GCSEs must be Maths, Science and English.
• We will check you meet the criteria as part of the application process as this will need to be evidenced before you can start the programme.
