Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented data management professional to join their Purchasing Team. This role involves managing supplier information and procurement reports to optimize costs and enhance supplier performance. You'll work closely with the Purchasing Manager, providing crucial analysis and support to facilitate negotiations with suppliers. About The Role

Data management of supplier information and procurement reports to facilitate the effective management of costs and reporting of supplier performance and initiatives.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Receive supplier cost prices, input into the system correctly to ensure price changes are notified to the members.
  2. Analyse the line level detail from the suppliers of the price changes reporting to the procurement team the changes and cross reference alternatives.
  3. In conjunction with the Purchasing Manager and purchasing provide information, reports, analysis, and rebate tracking to facilitate negotiations with suppliers.
  4. Work within the Purchasing Team to effectively maintain the terms on the system and proactively police suppliers.
  5. Update supplier purchase spend by member in the spend book and analyse movements.
  6. Update rebate agreements in the pricing system.
  7. Provide support to the Purchasing team in their activities, including communication with suppliers and members.

Key Results/Outputs

  • Correct pricing on the pricing system.
  • Pricing loaded accurately within specified timeframes.
  • Terms are up to date on the pricing system.
  • Spend Book is current and accurate.
  • Rebates are correctly tracked and followed up.

About You

Knowledge Base

  • Proven experience in managing data and providing detailed analysis.
  • Excellent IT skills, including expertise in spreadsheets, pivot tables, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Understanding of cost modelling, including total cost of acquisition.
  • Ability to analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Ability to consider market impacts on sales and sourcing activities.
  • Strong communication skills.
