Job description

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a giant European manufacturing business on the appointment of a Purchasing Administrator.

This position is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant looking to kick-start your career in purchasing or other areas of supply chain. It is also suitable for those with experience gained in a similar position. There is a strong starting salary on offer for someone with little to no purchasing experience, ranging to £27,000.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain a CIPS qualification after 12 months' experience.

In your new role:

  • Process purchase orders and invoices efficiently.
  • Manage and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner.
  • Take responsibility for generating and developing regular reports.
  • Administer supplier approvals and material code management.
  • Maintain and update pricing records accurately.
  • Process and report TSS customs declarations.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and compiling local contracts and agreements.
  • Perform other purchasing-related duties as required.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Previous similar experience or relevant degree (Supply Chain, Economics, Accountancy, Finance).
  • You must be able to use formulas, pivots, and V-lookups.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Confident and effective communication skills.
