Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Purchaser (Supply Chain / Logistics) role in Watford, offering a 27,000 - 29,000 salary plus a bonus up to 40k OTE, progression and training. You will join a close-knit procurement team, making outbound supplier calls to source goods globally across energy, construction and mining sectors, with full training and clear routes to senior roles.

This is an office-based, Monday to Friday position; commute to Watford is required and equal

Are you from a background in supply chain/logistics and looking to develop your career into a Purchaser, with full internal training on negotiating and clear routes to progress to a Senior?

In this role you will be working within a close-knit procurement team who will help mould and develop your skills, allowing you to progress into a fully‑fledged Purchaser. You will be making outbound sales calls to source a range of goods from around the world, working within the energy, construction, and mining industries.

Since their incorporation nearly 20 years ago this procurement company pride themselves on their excellent levels of growth in recent years, boasting multiple offices and an ever growing portfolio of blue‑chip clients. They continuously develop and progress their staff, allowing clear pathways to senior roles such as Senior Buyer and Account Manager in the near future.

This role would suit somebody perhaps from a supply chain, logistics, or procurement background for a challenging yet rewarding role, utilising their communication skills and attention to detail to build a career within sales.

The Role:

• Making outbound calls, negotiating with suppliers and providing quotes


• Working within the energy, construction and mining sectors


• Ongoing training through shadowing within a close-knit office


• Fully office based, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
