Are you a hands-on technical buyer with an engineering or manufacturing background? As a Purchaser - Customer Care at AMF Bakery Systems, you will source and purchase machine components and spare parts, negotiate with suppliers, and collaborate closely with engineering, project managers, and other stakeholders. In this role, you help ensure smooth operations, drive cost savings, and optimize procurement processes within a growing, international company.

Responsibilities of Purchaser - Customer Care
Procuring machine components and spare parts for UK & NL manufacturing and operations.
Expediting purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
Managing relationships with suppliers/vendors and negotiating contracts.
Working closely with the other procurement & supply chain teams within the business to meet company objectives.
Handling any supply chain issues promptly and professionally.
Participating in process improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Working with AMF global purchasing teams to ensure consistency for global supplier accounts, leveraging global pricing and driving market pricing initiatives.
Requirements
Vocational education or higher professional education purchasing
Nevi-certificate
Technical Buyer with experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Prior procurement experience from within an engineering manufacturing environment
Ability to read technical engineering drawings (essential)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership experience
Excellent communication skills
A confident negotiator
Good level of IT skills including Microsoft Office
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to show initiative and take ownership of a situation
Project management experience would be ideal (not essential)
