Working Monday to Friday (Monday-Thursday 8-5pm & Friday)

Bridgwater - commutable from Chard, Cullompton, Honiton, Tiverton, Burnham-on-Sea, Taunton, Glastonbury, Weston-Super-Mare, Yeovil, Minehead, Clevedon

The role involves utilizing your purchasing skills to ensure optimal performance and support company growth, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, and managing procurement activities.

The position offers a healthy work-life balance with an early finish on Fridays, located in Bridgwater and surrounding areas.

The role

• Manage procurement activities including vendor relationships, negotiations, and contract management.
• Order replenishment and progress tracking of sourced finished products.
• Setup and maintenance of supplier accounts and vendor pricing in the ERP system.
• Support Operations and Quality in investigating supplier issues and measuring vendor performance.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain.

The person

• Minimum 5 years' procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industries.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and large product portfolios.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in cost reduction.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong collaborative abilities.
