Job summary

Reed Accountancy is assisting a local client in recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary basis until the end of the year, with potential extension.

This role will focus on purchase ledger activities, transaction processing, and providing general support across the team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have prior accounts experience and a keen eye for detail, able to hit the ground running from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Able to hit the ground running and support the team from day one.

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices from receipt through to payment.
• Reconciling invoices against purchase orders and ensuring accuracy.
• Managing a high volume of financial transactions in a timely manner.
• Processing company credit card statements and employee expense claims.
• Supporting the administration of staff expenses.
• Assisting the wider finance team with various ad hoc duties and project work.
